PAIN. ILLNESS. INJURY. Does any of this sound familiar? The struggle to navigate life as a human is full to bursting with stories! No matter your experience with your mind, body, and spirit, you have a story to tell and we would love to help you learn to do it.
Whether you would like to write for yourself or for an audience, “How to Write Your Health Journey” is a four-week writing class for people who are interested in learning how to write about their health narratives. Taught by acclaimed author David Allan Cates, the main goal of these workshops is to get you writing! You will be asked to read a few short scenes and stories which the instructor will then analyze for structure, content, and effectiveness, examining how and why they work. You will then write a few original pieces--fiction or non-fiction--that the class will read and discuss.
The workshop is open to a maximum of 12 people, so please register ASAP!
The group will meet on Mondays from 5:30-7 on October 7,14,21 & 28 at the Partnership Health Building on Railroad St. PLEASE REGISTER FOR ALL FOUR DATES BELOW!
