Speaker: Bob Gentry

Subject: Impacts of Forest Fragmentation and  Habitat Loss on Neotropical Birds

Mr. Gentry will discuss the importance of maintaining avian biodiversity and genetic resilience through the preservation of important and sensitive habitat in the US and abroad.

Mr. Gentry has a BA in biology/ecology from Hendrix College, an MA in ecology from the University of Missouri, and a Masters in Environmental Law and JD from Vermont Law School. In graduate school his research focused on the impacts of habitat destruction and fragmentation on neotropical migrants, specifically the Ovenbird (Seiurus aurocapillus).
