A pair of panel talks will highlight the June 13 events. “Montana's Tech Based Economy: Today and Tomorrow” will feature Patrick Barkey of the University of Montana Bureau of Business and Economic Research; Christina Henderson of Montana High Tech Alliance; Grant Kier of Missoula Economic Partnership; Bruce Tribbensee of Submittable Holdings, Inc.; and Joe Fanguy of Blackfoot Communications. “Navigating Montana's Venture Capital Landscape” will feature Jeff Batton of HomeStake Venture Partners; Colleen Howell of ZPPR; Kiah Hochstetler of Goodworks Ventures; and Susan Carstansen of Yellowstone Growth Partners. In other presentations, Meggie Ghidella of San Francisco-based blockchain payment company Ripple will speak on “Blockchain Transactions in Today's Market”; while Gonzaga University School of Law’s Dean Jacob Rooksby will discuss “Intellectual Property: University Choices (Private Rights, Public Policy).”
A day and a half of practical continuing legal education training follows, affording those in Montana’s legal community hands-on experience in managing the latest changes in technology affecting the practice of law.
