Come join Montana Wilderness Association for a fun presentation about Montana's edible Fungi!  Tim Wheeler will cover the basics of hunting mushrooms for the table. He will discuss a dozen or so prized edible mushrooms of Montana, covering identification, seasons, habitat, and other tidbits about their ecology and tips for how to track them down—and, finally, sharing some ideas on how to preserve and prepare them. Mushroom appetizers, beer, wine, and non alcoholic beverages will be provided starting at 6:30.

Tim Wheeler is a geologist, lichenologist, mycologist, and photographer who lives outside of Arlee, MT in the shadow of the Mission Mountains. He is currently a Senior Researcher in the Cooper Lab at the University of Montana working on the genetics/genomics of insect endosymbionts.
